Wicked Weed's massive donations to local nonprofits continue, this time with the announcement by Eblen Charities that it's received two checks for $100,000 each from the company.

Very recently, Wicked Weed donated $50,000 to Pisgah Legal Services, the YMCA of Asheville, and Brother Wolf Animal Rescue.

The owners of the formerly local and independent brewery sold their company to Anheuser-Busch InBev in a controversial move that brought congratulations from some and disgust from others.

Eblen says in its most recent newsletter that one of the checks will be used for its employee assistance program, which "assists their employees in need of help." The other $100K donation will "take the concept of their employee assistance program and (expand) its outreach to help families in our community facing troubled times."
