Carolina Kitchen: Dried apple fried pies

Ingredients

  • dried apples
  • 1 tin canned biscuits

Instructions

  • Stew dried apples, then stir or mash. You can also substitute apples for other fruit such as dried peaches or apricots.
  • Roll out a small canned biscuit on floured surface. Dill with heaping tablespoon of fruit.
  • Fold over and crimp with a fork. fry in small amount of canola oil. Fry on one side, then the other. Then place the pie on its back and fry.
  • Remember, use a small amount of oil. Do not deep-fry.
