Three suspects out of South Carolina crashed and were arrested in Henderson County Thursday night after a chase.
At around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2019, deputies initiated a traffic stop on I-85 in Mauldin, on a vehicle whose driver was suspected of DUI.
The driver failed to stop, and a vehicle pursuit ensued, which ultimately led to the driver crashing into an embankment just across the North Carolina line.
During the time the driver was fleeing, she struck three different patrol cars with her vehicle. No deputies were injured during the incident.
The driver, identified as 26-year-old Amber Faye Hamilton of Taylors, is facing charges for four counts of attempted murder, failure to stop for a blue light, reckless driving, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a stolen vehicle.
The other two passengers, 26-year-old, Dazzlin Lenore Campbell of Liberty, SC and 30-year-old Angel Marie Allen of Spartanburg, are both facing charges with possession of methamphetamine and possession of a stolen vehicle.
All three suspects were arrested by the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office and will remain in their custody to face charges.
