Finding forever homes for those favorite furry friends was the goal of a pet adoption push on Saturday.
The "Subaru Loves Pets" adoption event with Asheville Humane Society kicked off on Oct. 24. It comes from a partnership between the ASPCA and Prestige Subaru, aiming to help more than 100 homeless animals find families.

"The adoption process is the same," said Asheville Humane Society volunteer Kelly Paul. "We still do a counseling with a professional adoption counselor. Every animal is vaccinated and spayed or neutered. They get a free bag of food to bring home with them.”
The adoption promotion continues all next week at the Asheville Humane Society, through Oct. 30.
