A local nonprofit is working to help Gulf Coast residents impacted by Hurricane Sally.

Hearts With Hands loaded a truck with supplies Thursday. That truck will head to Orange Beach, Alabama to deliver boxes with hygiene kits and food.

Director Greg Lentz said the boxes have everything hurricane victims need.

WEATHER ALERT: HEAVY RAIN, FLOODING POSSIBLE AS SALLY PASSES BY REGION

"Those are averaging about $20 a box, and that's water, juice, snack items, soup, all the necessities they need for a few hours, a few days, right after a storm of this magnitude," Lentz said.

Lentz said the agency might send another load to Pensacola, Florida, but they're still assessing the need.
