Henderson deputies seeking man on charges of breaking and entering

Henderson County deputies are seeking an Indian Trail man on charges of breaking and entering.

On Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at approximately 3:50 p.m. deputies responded to a call for service in the area of Upward Road in Hendersonville.

Deputies say they found an overturned Jeep Cherokee in a yard with two men near it, acting suspiciously. They detained one of the men and the other fled the scene.

During the course of investigation, deputies identified one of the men as Christopher James Gilliam, 30, of Matthews, North Carolina. Deputies located the second man hiding in the brush a short distance away and identified him as Jarret Olin Gordon, 27, of Indian Trail, North Carolina.

Gordon and Gilliam were subsequently charged with misdemeanor second-degree trespassing, felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor possession of a Schedule III controlled substance. Both were taken to the Henderson County Jail and placed under a $3500 secured bond.

Gordon posted bond and was released.

Gilliam remains in the Henderson County Jail under a $14,500 bond after additional charges of felony breaking and entering and felony larceny after breaking and entering were brought when the homeowner returned, and was able to identify property recovered at the scene by the responding deputies.

Deputies are now looking for Jarret Gordon on the additional charges of felony breaking and entering and felony larceny after breaking and entering. Should anyone have any information concerning the whereabouts of Jarret Gordon please contact the Henderson County Sheriff's office at 828-697-4911.
