A teen was arrested just moments before he allegedly planned to carry out an attack at his high school in Union County near Charlotte.
Deputies said the student had a backpack full of knives, fireworks, a bottle of flammable liquid and a dismantled shotgun shell. He was also carrying a hit list naming nine to 12 people, with specific instructions on how he planned to carry out the attack.
Students at Forest Hills High School said they're still worried about their safety.
"Who knows who was on that list that the person made. It could have been me, it could have been my closest friend," one student said.
Deputies said the suspect, who is younger than 16, is a student at the school. They say they were tipped off to the planned attack by authorities in Canada who discovered a violent and very specific chatroom message Monday night.
