Man arrested in Lee Walker Heights shooting, victim seriously injured

Police have made an arrest after a shooting Wednesday night at Lee Walker Heights.

Marquis Deangelo Bowditch, 24, of Arden is charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and one felony count of possession of a firearm by a felon.

Warrants say Bowditch trespassed at Lee Walker Heights Wednesday night and discharged a firearm within the City of Asheville limits.

The warrants say one victim was seriously injured.

Bowditch was arrested by Asheville Police at around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of Biltmore Avenue. He is being held at the Buncombe County Detention Facility on a $100,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in Buncombe County District Court on Thursday.
