With schools and the libraries closed, some Western North Carolina kids are missing out on valuable story time.
That's a situation the staff at Pack Memorial Library in Asheville are working to change.
They started a 24-hour read-a-thon that began at 8 a.m. Friday. You may watch it on the library's Facebook page.
The library staff won't be the only ones reading to the kids. Firefighters, teachers, police officers and many others were more than happy to lend a hand.
