Celebrating those who give their time to help patients, the CarePartners Solace Center hosted a "Parade of Care" Friday afternoon to honor volunteers.

The volunteers drove by to pick up cupcakes with well-wishes from hospice staff members.

Organizers say volunteers are a critical resource at the facility.

"Volunteers give to us such incredible gifts of emotional support, companionship, dedication with patients and families, and this is our way of honoring them," CarePartners Volunteer Services Manager Danny Johnson told News 13. "We want them to let us say, 'we applaud you, we appreciate you, we love you, we value your contribution.'"
