A Polk County resident has tested presumptive positive for the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
A news release from the Polk County Health and Human Services Agency said the patient was notified of the positive test after visiting a health care provider with symptoms of coronavirus.
The patient was given self-isolation instructions following notification of the test results and is isolated at home.
Health officials have been in contact with the patient to coordinate and monitor the person's condition and conduct contact tracing.
