If two mid-show standing ovations (even if it wasn't the entire audience) isn't enough to convince you this is a good show, I don't know what will or what could.

The Peace Center continues its 2016-2017 season with the hilarious Something Rotten, which is anything but rotten as evidenced by the show-stopping Act One number A Musical that brought audience members to their feet.

The show follows the journey of Nick and Nigel Bottom, two brothers working to outdo Shakespeare and create the next best show, though the two have drastically different views on how to make that happen.

Along the way, the audience is treated to great songs, great dialogue with a few R-rated jokes and a number of references to great shows across the musical spectrum.

Led by Rob McClure, Josh Grisetti and Adam Pascal, Something Rotten is a show you don't want to miss, playing at the Peace Center through Sunday.
