According to Duke Energy's outage map, in North Carolina, over 10,000 people are without power after storms and high winds mean fallen trees that take out power lines.
Henderson County is currently the hardest hit.
On Sunday evening, here's the rundown of approximately how many are without power, by county:
- Haywood: 1099
- Henderson: 4030
- Macon: 875
- Transylvania: 662
Other counties are affected, but most have fewer than 1000 Duke customers without power countywide.
Here's the breakdown in SC:
- Greenville: 2120
- Anderson: 2366
