Here are the top stories we are following for you today.

Nathaniel Dixon will be back in court to be sentenced. Dixon was found guilty in June of murdering his pregnant girlfriend, Candace Pickens. Last week the death penalty was taken off the table. He will get life without parole according to North Carolina law.

Two of the three men charged in connection with last week's murder in Asheville made their first court appearance Monday. Marteise Hines is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Marshall Spry last Thursday investigators say spry was shot during an attempt to steal marijuana. Isaac White is charged with accessory to murder. Authorities say he helped Hines avoid police.

Three Hendersonville residents face child endangerment in Tennessee. Troopers say they found three children in the back of a rental truck. It happened last week in Cocke County. Lakista William, Willie Green Jr, and Eric Larue also face drug charges.
