There are Christmas trees, and then there are Christmas trees. J. Arthur’s restaurant in Maggie Valley says it has the tallest one in Haywood County.

The tree stands 18 feet tall and adorns their dining room, decorated for the season with socially distanced tables.

For decades, the restaurant has teamed up with the nearby Cabbage Rose gift store, which supplied more than 20,000 lights.

“It's always a different theme and it's always fresh and it's always just new and people just love it,” says J. Arthur’s owner Erin Mahoney.

“Every room is all done with buffalo plaid even the curtains in the bar area,” says Cabbage Rose owner Scott Nielsen.

J. Arthur’s and Cabbage Rose are also drop off locations for Toys for Tots. You're invited to leave new, unwrapped toys for kids in need this holiday season at either spot.

J. Arthur's Restaurant is located at 2843 Soco Road and Cabbage Rose is located at 3388 Soco Road.
