Wildlife officials want your input on proposed changes for hunting and fishing statewide

The North Carolina Department of Wildlife Resources is considering changes for hunting and fishing statewide and officials want your input.

Some of the changes would be for parts Franks Creek in Graham County, Hemphill Creek in Haywood County and Buff Creek in Jackson County. They'd all change to remove parts of the rivers as public trout waters and allow only artificial bait for wild trout fishing in other areas.

The North Carolina Department of Wildlife Resources will continue to take comments on its website through Feb. 1.
