Owens, a wide receiver, spent last year at Palmetto Prep. His last season at Brevard produced ten td catches and 681 receiving yard and that was second on the team. Owens said, "High school to even a prep school is a big change. You've got a lot of different guys that's been high school stars and you work hard to see what separates you from other people."

"It's not easy. Not a lot of people can play college basketball. My coaches and teammates helped me through everything."
