Enka shortstop Jasmine Palmer signed to play at Florida State. She hit over 400 last year and said she wanted to go to FSU even without softball.
Christ School lineman Walker Lanning commits to play at Western Carolina. He was all-state last year. His teammate Austin Cooke committed to North Greenville. Both will be early enrollees.
FSU quarterback Jameis Winston is leaving school early to enter the NFL draft. He is expected to be a top two pick.
Two area collegiate football players will participate in Saturday's Medal of Honor Bowl in Charleston, SC. Ace Clark, defensive back at Western Carolina and Michael Gruber, a linebacker at Brevard College will play in the game which draws a lot of interest from NFL scouts.
