As the postseason gets into full swing, it's win or go home for Hendersonville High School as it takes on the Brevard Blue Devils.
The added pressure brings out the competitive nature of the players, who are giving it their all on the field.
On the Bearcats' roster, coach Jim Sosebee said, are two seniors, Daniel and Shawn Pearce, who have displayed an exceptional level of competitiveness all year.
"They always are looking at the tackle sheet and the head hunter chart to see who's got the most points," Sosebee said.
Their competitive side could be explained because they are brothers--fraternal twins to be exact.
"When he gets a sack or a tackle, I'm like, 'Yes!' but then I'm like, 'Dang it!' because I gotta get more tackles and sacks," Shawn said.
"They are 100 percent every play, so they are great leaders for us," Jim said.
Shawn and Daniel have their similarities -- they play the same position, defensive end, on the opposite side of the field.
Sosebee said having the twins on his roster is a first for him.
"I think it's good for our team to have those two guys because they are so competitive, lifting weights, running, everything they do is so competitive it translates to the rest of the guys," Sosebee said.
The brothers are also members of the wrestling team. They said the best part of being on the team is playing with family.
The brothers also have a set of twin sisters who are in middle school.
