One business owner said changes to the Ingles Southern Conference Basketball Championships will likely take a toll on downtown Asheville businesses.
The Chocolate Fetish owners said the business is not seeing the normal boost in customers from the basketball tournament.
This year, only about 500 fans are being allowed at each game because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"It is different this year. This time last year, the streets were packed. But it was also the beginning of unprecedented times. We had to do what we could to stop the spread, and I guess it is what it is," The Chocolate Fetish manager Lisa Sluder said.
