A man wanted for a stabbing in Asheville is in custody after a high-speed chase Tuesday evening.
Authorities said it started in Transylvania County when deputies tried to help the U.S. Marshals' Fugitive Task Force take Dominique Fore into custody.
The chase began in Pisgah Forest and ended on Brevard Road, near Interstate 240, in Buncombe County.
Authorities said Fore, who was wanted for a stabbing at the Holiday Inn on Smokey Park Highway, was in a vehicle that was driving recklessly and at a high rate of speed.
Authorities said the vehicle also hit and damaged three law enforcement cruisers during the chase, but no officers were hurt.
After the chase, Fore was taken to Mission Hospital but is now in custody.
